Our Product:
Each step in our process is done by hand, using sustainable, low-intensive practices where possible. To create this treat for your Brooklyn kitties, we combined heirloom seeds, organic soil, and New York’s finest water in a Food-safe, BPA-free, US-made grow bag on a sunny Brooklyn rooftop. Once it reaches maturity, the catnip is pruned just before full bloom, when levels of Nepetalactone are at their peak. Bees seem to love the little flowers almost as much as cats, and we think they look kinda nice too! And don't worry about the plant - pruning it allows the plant to regain its vigor. Immediately after harvest, the pruned buds and stems are hung to dry in a paper bag, where they remain for 3-5 weeks, depending on the weather and humidity. We remove and compost as much of the stem as practical, and give your cat the best part: buds and leaves. Unlike other brands which are flown in from the other side of the country or even the other side of the world, our product is never more than a subway ride away from store shelves. It’s better for you and better for the environment.
